Mission Statement To provide practical results-based interactive training programmes that reawaken the learning process in adults in the workplace, based on the philosophy that the effectiveness of the organisation is dependent on the effectiveness of each individual, and that organisational growth & development occurs as a result of individual growth & development. Company History Staff Training Associates was formed in 1990. Initially our work was largely that of creating and facilitating a wide range of public courses for the membership of the Employers & Manufacturers Association, and EMA still plays a large part in our client profile. Increasingly and inevitably we created our own in-house client base (see client list here), mainly through word-of-mouth referral and networking and, of course, doing an excellent job! Our NZQA Registration was achieved in 1994 and we completed our 14th annual Audit in April 2008. Our Accreditations on the National Qualifications Framework are constantly being added to and upgraded (see up-to-date accreditations here) and we can now offer up to level 5 in most of the Domains we are accredited for. We cover the country from Auckland – selection of facilitator being determined more by client request, facilitator availability and topic, rather than from any geographical consideration. For in-house training programmes, STA has always been directly accessible while at the same time being marketed by other provider agencies such as EMA, and brokers such as the Training Line etc as well as our own direct advertising. STA also offers its own range of public courses to the market, the calendar can be checked here. STA
Facilitators: Each STA Facilitator must have a broad depth of successful Commercial or Public Sector line management experience in diverse areas prior to joining STA. This experience, coupled with excellent ‘Front-of-Room’ skills, a well-developed sense of humour and a relevant Tertiary qualification sets STA apart from other providers, allowing us to produce and provide results-based workshops that give usable, practical skills & knowledges. Our Facilitators must be able to work in NZ’s multi-cultural working environment and relate equally well at CEO or operator level. STA Facilitators consistently rate ‘excellence’ in after-course evaluations, with most of the comments referring to our ability to keep groups interested, and call on personal experience in most situations where required and appropriate.
