Managing Change


Learning Objective:
To learn and practice the skills required to be the initiator of (or manager of) a change process  within  organisations, and to lead teams successfully through such changes.

Target Audience:
Existing supervisors faced with change (or the need for change), new Supervisors, and staff  identified as prospective new Supervisors.

Content:
Need for change, dynamics of change, role of Supervisor, reaction of people to change, change  models, cycle of change, change & motivation, change phobia's, planning, introducing &  management of change. Work improvement & analysis techniques, team problem-solving,  creative thinking, cause & effect, mind-mapping.
 Creating & submitting change proposals.
Assertive behaviour Vs aggressive or submissive. Influencing others, enlisting support. Conflict  resolution. Stress causes, symptoms, techniques for removing, reducing or managing stress.
Each person takes an active part in case study work, and is part of at least one presentation  to the group.

 


Length: Three full days
Format: Workgroup interactive
