Foundation Skills of Team Leadership

Learning Objective:
To learn and practice the foundation skills required to lead a team in a modern 2001 work  environment.

Target Audience:
New Team Leaders/Supervisors, Leading Hands, Charge Hands identified for promotion, existing Team Leaders  requiring a modern practical refresher, or who missed out on the basics.

Content:

Sample pre-workshop assignment

Module 1: Team Leader role definitions. Communications, written verbal & practical exercises. Leadership  theory, and modern Leadership practical applications.

Module 2: Motivation theory & practical,  goal-setting in teams. Disciplinary & Termination procedures. Disciplinary case-study and team  presentations.

Module 3: Active supervision. Time Management. Creative problem-solving.

Length: Three days or 3 one-day modules.
Format: Workgroup interactive
Max number Participants/facilitator: 15
