Tim is a former
Artistic Director of the company and one of Wellington's most experienced
Improvisors, with more than thirteen years experience in corporate
entertainment. He has also appeared in professional shows at Circa,
BATS and Downstage, and was core cast for several season's of TV3's
'Target' show. Tim has represented Wellington in Theatresports
at both professional and secondary school levels and was a 2-time
Theatresports Max champion.
Tim has written
and produced features for National Radio, has had his fiction included
in various journals and anthologies, and has had two plays he has
authored professionally produced.
A qualified
Speech and Drama teacher, Tim has taught improv and comedy at the
Wellington Performing Arts Centre, and has been Director of the
Improv-in-Education Trust's Theatresports in Schools programme.
In 2002, he headed the Young and Hungry youth theatre project at
BATS theatre. Tim has a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Film, and
in 2004 received a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Bill
Manhire's IIML at Victoria University. He is currently studying
towards a doctorate, this time in English Literature.
As part of Theatresports
team "Nobody at Home", with Anna Kennedy
and Nicola Vinten, Tim became the 2006 Theatresports Champion and
in November of 2006 he bacame the Improv Idle champion. This makes
Tim the first person to have held Wellington team and individual
titles at the same time!
