Pahiatua School
Community Association
Our PSCA is a dedicated and hard working team of parents and teachers which
supports the social and fund-raising activities of the school.
The P.S.C.A. has
been responsible for major fund-raising and some of their more recent
achievements include the provision of shade sails along the junior classrooms,
the purchase of information technology equipment for classrooms and the library
and the senior Adventure Playground.
The total cost of
these items alone amounts to tens of thousands of dollars and without the P.S.C.A.
support we would not have these things.
The P.S.C.A. generally meets on the third Monday of each month in the staffroom
at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The P.S.C.A. recognises that
everyone is busy and asks that everyone considers how they can best assist the
school and do their 'bit' in this
way.
Parents and
caregivers do not have time or the resources to help in all ways but can perhaps
help with working bees or baking. If you indicate the way that you can help you
can be contacted for those occasions only, rather than for everything. Examples
are baking, working bees, selling raffles.
Key events held every year are:
Trail Bike Ride Lamb and Calf Day Quiz night Calf Scheme Regular raffles
