Independent Forklifts Ltd is a family owned business with its head office based in Timaru which along with its branch in Christchurch specialise in the sales, leasing, rental and servicing of all major brands of forklifts.

Independent Forklifts Ltd is recognised within the forklift industry as a highly customer focused company that always endeavours to meet or exceed customers expectations.   

Independent Forklifts Ltd (formerly South Canterbury Forklifts) has grown from a South Canterbury based company to one that now supplies and services a large range of companies and clients through out the South Island some of whom are industry leaders in their field.

Fixed term leasing packages on many makes and models of forklifts are available from Independent Forklifts Ltd to suit your individual requirements, as well as short term leasing to cover peak periods or seasonal requirements.  We also can offer lease to own packages through to UDC Finance approved customers for those companies that are starting to expand which can be tailored to suit individual customers needs.

Independent Forklifts also import late model, low hour forklifts that have been personally selected by the companies sales team.  These machines can be ordered specifically to a customers requirements or purchased from a wide range of electric Petrol or Diesel forklifts.  Options for new or traded machines are also available.

Our companies workshops are fully equipped with eight service technicians all operating out of fully equipped service vehicles providing prompt and efficient service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Together with a large range of services including on site servicing and tune ups, the workshop offers the specialized  175 tonne mobile tyre press which fits solid tyres on site.  A large range of solid and pneumatic tyres, tubes and dust bands are available ex stock.
