Our Rafting Base and Internet/Performance Cafe "DP:1" is in one of the oldest of the town's buildings. Being surrounded by mountains covered in native rainforest, the town maintains a feeling of country spirit whilst still being central to all the trappings of comfortable living. Hotels, Hostels, Restaurants, Cafe's, Banks etc. Our base is only 200 metres from the Famous Tranzalpine Railway station linking the Wild West Coast to Christchurch City. Also the depot for most major tourist buses. And right next door is the Famous Railway Hotel's "All you can eat $3NZ BBQ". A classic place to meet and eat for a great price with all your new found traveling friends...

We love to take real people out into the realistic forces of mother nature. Traveling through the spectacular river systems of NZ. Taking plenty of time out there to relax and enjoy the scenery as well as paddle hard through some of this countries finest stretches of Whitewater.
Our river expeditions range from half to 5 days long, and range from grade 0-5 (5 being the highest grade raft able world wide). We teach everyone river hydrology, describing in depth how the river actually works. We describe all about the forest and animals within and how together with all the forces of nature create the working eco-system. We all love the wilderness and thrive on the constant challenges of life. All our guides are qualified professionals and experienced in many different fields of knowledge regarding the environment.
