also A few close up pics of the Navigator Jaunty...
and A few favorite pics of my old Navigator "Jaunty" ( I have now sold Jaunty and I'm about to commence on a new project-stay tuned)

A nice shot of Medusa (courtesay 'Paul Groom') under sail in beautiful Islington Bay, Rangitoto Island.

This great photo features Tim Herbert sailing his 17' lug rigged yawl. Designed and built by Australian Mikey Floyd, she is clinker ply with a jarrah keel and oregon spars. He tells me she is a delight to sail and fun to overnight aboard. Tim brought her to New Zealand when he moved here three years ago and is seen here enjoying New Zealands stunning south island harbour of Akaroa,

Paul sends this sweet pic of his scaled up version (10 percent) of the Ian Oughtred designed "Tammie Norrie" sailing out from Port Albert, Victoria. Nice day for it... He includes an interesting blog with his correspondence thats certainly worth a look here...

Danny Sapford of South Africa is enoying his Dudley Dix designed Argie 15', Zanzibar. Glad to have her back after missing for some time, having been stolen early 2009. He's refurbished her and is seen here enjoying superb weather at Klein River lagoon, Hermanus, a coastal town about 80 Km south east from Cape Town.

Peter Cecinini built this Bolger cartopper last winter with his father. He tells me that at twelve feet long its plenty big enough for the two (3) of them, a cooler full of beer and some sandwhiches. He sails mostly out of Sandy Hook Bay, New Jersey, within sight of the Manhattan skyline... Nice. The family pet keeps a sharp lookout.

Sam Scoville aboard his Bay River skiff, is in hot pursuit of a Core Sound 17, both designs of Graham Byrnes. The photo was taken on the Bay River in North Carolina, USA, at the B&B Yacht Designs 2010 Messabout.

Me and my boat...somewhere near the bottom end of Waiheke. Photo taken by cousin Jim who was collecting delicious, fresh, green lipped mussels off the rocks at the time.

Tom Hamernik of Chicago - USA, a regular correspondent, has finally launched his Welford Pathfinder and is seen here enjoying her with a race in the sun.

Yvon Dinahet send these two superb pictures of life aboard 'Oko' on Lake Leman in the french alps. He also includes, within his correspondence, a link to a fascinating french website chronicling historical craft from around the world. Be sure to check it out here...

Ken Lamb sails out from stunning Halifax, Nova Scotia aboard his newly launched boat "Salty Kate". He borrowed the lines fromw a 1940's sailing dinghy and redesigned her for modern construction, expanding her to 14'-8" with a 5'-3" beam.

Stu Williams and company look like the sort of folk who really do know how to have a good time...Seen here mid-July on the Clark Fork river near Missoula, Montana. USA, moments before a meal of king salmon and brown trout followed by home made cherry pie and a glass or two of favorite wine . Summer could not be better. Stu built this fine looking river boat and also many others. Check out his great craftsmanship here at Montanaboat.com

Sailing off the beaches of Indented Head, Victoria - Australia is eleven year old Chris Koral aboard the boat built by his father and uncle over the course of last winter. A 'Daniels Boat' from none other than - John Welsford.

A beautiful winters morning out at Rangitoto Lighthouse. Three degrees celsius at the ramp made for a chilly start to what turned into a really awesome day with another close encounter of the cetacean kind... this time just off Milford beach. (see below)

Another fine ship in the making is this Welsford 'Pathfinder' nearing completion under the watchful eyes of Houston, Texas based builder, Kevin Sluder. Well done, we look forward to seeing a pic or two of her on the water.
