Descendants of Norman Nicolson, Culkine Achnacarnin, Assynt

1. Margaret Nicolson, born about 1789 in Culkine Achnacarnin, Assynt. She married Donald MacLean from Altandhu in Coigach on 14 Feb 1816 at Nedd. By 1841 they were living at Camuscoille, Coigach. She was widowed in 1862 aged about 73. By 1881 she was blind. She died on 28 Nov 1887 at Camuscoille, aged 98 yrs.
2. Donald Nicolson, bapt. 22 Feb 1801 in Culkine Achnacanan, Assynt
3. Margaret Nicolson, born about 1802 in Assynt, (if her ages given in the census returns are correct. There is no baptism recorded for her). She married Duncan MacLean in the 1820s. In 1841 they were living in Achnahaird, Coigach, by 1851 they had moved nearby to Camuscoille where her sister(?) lived. She stayed there till after she was widowed in 1870. In 1881 she was living with her daughter Anne & her husband in Polbain, Coigach. She died on 10 Jan 1886 in Polbain, aged 84 yrs.
4. John Nicolson, bapt. 31 Jul 1803 in Culkine Achnacarnan. He married Margaret MacLeod on 1 Mar 1831. They lived at Culkein and he died there on 4 May 1877 aged 73 due to the fracture of his thigh Bone. (His mother's name is listed as Marion McKaskill on his death certificate but I think this is an error of the informant or registrar.)

   4. Donald Nicolson bapt. 9 Dec 1839 in Assynt. He was a fisherman. He married Anne McAskill on 25 Nov 1868 but was a widower by 1881.
