Descendants of Alexander Kerr, Drumbeg, Assynt.
Alexander Kerr was a Crofter in Drumbaig. He was married to Anne MacLeod. If she was the same Anne MacLeod that died in Culkein (where daughter Annabella lived) on 23 Nov 1859, (and reputed to be 93 yrs old), then she was the daughter of John MacLeod, a Miller, and Margaret McKay.
- Annabella Kerr
, born 1787. she lived in Drumbaig. A contract for her marriage to John MacLeod from Culkine Achnacarnan was dated 2 Nov 1811. That gave them a month to marry or forfeit £80. She died on 2 Apr 1863 in Culkein, Assynt, aged about 75 yrs.

, born circa 1799, lived at Drumbaig until she married Alexander MacLeod, 20 years her senior, on 23 Feb 1823 in Baddygrinan, Assynt. They lived in Torbreck and had nine children. The next two children need to be confirmed.

William MacLeod and Isabella on 3 Feb 1844 in Assynt.

Notes
I have tied these people together as a family on the following evidence.
- The death registrations of Margaret Kerr & Annabella Kerr name their parents as Alexander Kerr & Anne MacLeod.
- Both women were living in the same place, Drumbeg, when they married.
- In the 1841 census of Drumbeg there was a Widow, Ann Kerr, 60-64 yrs, a tenant, with children, Ann, 20-24 yrs and Alexander, 15-19 yrs. In 1851 Anne Kerr is said to be 80 yrs old & her son Alexander, 40 yrs old. She could be Margaret and Annabella's mother. If I can find the death registration of Ann or Alexander this would confirm it.
